- Whoever said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery can't have been talking about plagiarism. At least [info]moreta, [info]ki_caelum and [info]nyonyo don't think so and I can certainly understand why. And while in a twisted way, it does make sense to copy the style, the art and the writing of the most popular people, it also ensures that you'll get caught pretty easily because their work will be so familiar to so many. All three of the ladies I'm talking about have been alerted of plagiarism incidents by friends and followers in the past. It just spoils things for everyone *sadface*

- Onto more pleasant things, I braved the sale crowds today and got some pretty jewelery. That was all I got because I couldn't stand the crowds and the pushing and the shoving and the grabbing. People seem particularly vicious this year. It was a little alarming. I might try again tomorrow because I won't have much time once I go back to work and I need some new boots.

- I see lots of mocking of Merlin. That is unacceptable. In other Merlin news, I still can't bring myself to use Arthur/Gwen icons with the words 'Destiny', 'Iconic', or 'Legendary'. Smallville has scarred me for life *sadface*

Talking of Merlin, anyone know when the second DVD set will be released. I'm crossing my fingers for another commentary by all four of the younger cast. The last one was so much fun.

Just saw Avatar. What a spectacularly stunning film! I absolutely adored it and I can't wait to see it again! I think I'm a bit in love with Jake Sully in all his blue-skinned glory. I aint going to lie. =/

Still to see:
Sherlock Holmes
Brothers
Nine

Not bad ;)

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas.  I ate far too much and watched too much TV and a good time was had by all. And now I'm going to spam you with a random post because it's been far too long since my last one.

- I watched this really, really, bad TV movie with Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez and it STRESSED me out. Once upon a time, those two could act, right? Right? Because they couldn't act in this and they had no chemistry and it was just so horrible. There was this one scene that was supposed to be brimming with UST but was actually PAINFULLY AWKWARD to watch. I actually had to change the channel to stop myself cringing at one point. This may have tarnished my love for Sabrina the Teenage witch and Saved By the Bell. FOREVER! It was THAT bad!!

- I have lots of snazzy new icons and I'm actually putting my paid icon space to good use for the first time. I was going to delete some Smallville ones because I just don't feel about the show as I used to BUT I ended up adding even more Chlark ones. MORE! I don't know how that happened. My only excuse is that Chlark is too pretty to deny or resist. Damn them!

- Avatar - I enjoyed the movie but it also made me uncomfortable. ... ) Others may see it differently. I know several friends do although my sister had the same reaction as me.

- Who the hell is Justin Bieber and why has he taken over TwitterLand like a really bad, fast growing, incurable rash??

- I can't wait to see Sherlock Holmes!!! I even find myself enjoying Jude Law in trailers and interviews and that hasn't happened since he became all smarmy and lost his hair and slept witt his nanny. Why yes, I do hold stuff like that against people I don't know. I'm flawed :D

Fic: It's Gonna Bleed Sometimes

  • Dec. 22nd, 2009 at 7:33 PM
Title: It's Gonna Bleed Sometimes
Author: [info]monroeslittle
Genre: Twilight -- J/B
Rating: PG
Summary: AU in New Moon: Bella couldn't stop Charlie from sending her to Florida, even if she convinced him to let her return a few weeks later. But because of that, she never learned to hear Edward through danger, and she never be-friended Jacob. And where did she end up? Hospitalized.
Disclaimer: I own absolutely no rights to the Twilight books or movies.
A/N: Title and lyrics taken from "Sweet Talk" by the Killers, an all time favourite of mine. This is a good old fashioned, past-tense, third-person POV. But it touches a sensitive topic.

If he didn't have the ears of a wolf, he wouldn't have been able to hear it. )

Quick post with photos because I'm traveling, I'm still traveling but I wanted to let you all know I am not dead ;) I'm currently in Salt Lake City, UT and I am having a great time thus far. Our plane leaves today at 4pm and I dont make it back home until 11pm. Then tomorrow I head back out on the road. SO tired.

On Friday the girls & I had out annual Christmas party, it's usually at someone's place but we were so busy this year that we just decided to head to a restaurant and have fun there. We did. I got so effing drunk and then I had to be in the airport on Saturday @ 5am. :P

READ THIS!!!!

I know I don't pimp much anymore besides music (which I'm way behind on) but this deserves a pimp because it is possibly the greatest crossover of all time.

You think this is hard? Try being the Michael Sword - that's hard!.
--- It's Supernatural & Glee. Yes, you read that right.
